Workbook Basics – (These sessions have been developed to introduce all staff within Schools and Faculties to the basics of using PebblePad)

Plan and deliver webinars – Collaborate Ultra
This webinar will introduce staff to Collaborate Ultra to plan and deliver webinars for:
- Synchronous (real-time) teaching sessions
- Small group seminars or tutorials
- Q&A sessions with a small group of students
This will be a 75-minute online session to explore the functionality of Collaborate Ultra to conduct webinars. Participants may stay online after the session for an optional 15 minutes to explore the environment as a Moderator and ask any further technical questions.
By the end of the session you will be better able to:
- Plan an online session
- Employ the relevant functionality for your context using tools such as audio, video, chat, polling, whiteboard, file share, breakout groups
- Consider strategies for effective delivery

Gradescope
Gradescope is an assessment tool that is particularly useful for assignments that require a handwritten response. This webinar will include a live demonstration of using Gradescope to manage and grade handwritten submissions for assessment, followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
On completion, participants will be able to:
- Understand the benefits of using Gradescope for handwritten responses through a live demonstration
- Add a Gradescope link within a module
- Create a Gradescope assignment

Top Hat for Assessment – Setting up and invigilating monitored live tests
Suitable for: This event is suitable for academic staff and PGRs who teach, and SES staff who help set up assessments. Top Hat can be used to deliver synchronous and synchronous tests to students. Most of the question types can be autograded.
Pre-requisite: Top Hat for Assessment
Duration: 45 Minutes
- Understanding the monitored test settings
- Pre-test check list (disabling gradebook, communicating with students etc.)
- Assigning the test to students – what it looks like for students and professors
- How to read the monitoring report during the assessment
- Troubleshooting and best practice

Using Teams for student-centered Active Learning
These sessions will demonstrate some of the ways that Microsoft Teams can be used to provide learning activities.
Demonstration of MS Teams includes:
- How to link a Class Team from Minerva
- How to develop asynchronous learning activities that can be used in Teams
- Introduction to Class Notebook
This will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
